Odd Mollies & Clarkes Bar marked the St. Patrick's Day celebrations by going green for the weekend! Pedestrians and motorists passing the corner of Peter Street x Fair Street were greeted with the vivid sight of the premises illuminated in green light. It was non-stop action within our doors with a fantastic weekend of entertainment.

Friday kicked off with a blistering set of alrternative rock music by local solo acoustic musician Conor Judge. If you haven't heard his version of Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights' then make it your business to catch him in the near future- goosebumps!.. We were in safe hands on Saturday night, even though the rugby results didn't quite go our way DJ Jah Bubble and The Blinders were on hand to lift our spirits, and it didn't take them long. The venue in Odd Mollies was a chorus of voices as The Blinders had to crowd singing from start to finish.

We were full to capacity on Sunday as the masses gathered to celebrate St Patrick's Day with local folk rock miscreants Hudwink. A five-hour set of popular Irish music dotted with special guest appearances was something to behold. Not many bands out there have the stamina of these boys, we can ceratinly say the Guinness helped! Next door in Clarkes DJ Andrew K performed an equally long set of the best of alternative Irish music playing the likes of The Undertones, Hozier, The Stunning, Republic of Loose, The Blades, The Frames, Van Morrison, My Bloody Valentine, Jape, and Rory Gallagher to name but a few. We also heard a good helping of local talent such as Grand, Huey & The Hobgoblins, Trenchtown, Geriko, Wateryhill Boys, The Cacks, The Skins, Modernlove and much more!

Derek & Dorian rounded off the weekend with a soothing set of reggae classics on Monday evening in Clarkes bar, just what the doctor ordered!
